Comprehensive management and enhancement of public parks and recreational spaces. Oversee the planning + capital improvement, horticulture, and maintenance divisions of Anchorage Parks and Recreation. The role includes development of the capital budget, program, strategic planning, staff management, and execution of capital improvements.

Develop guidelines, design elements, and analysis for constructing building and landscape improvements. Organize and run public outreach meetings with diverse stakeholder groups. Coordinate projects with outside federal and nonfederal agencies, school districts, concerned community groups, and individuals.

Survey and remove non-native, invasive plants using a Trimble GPS unit and manual control methods in Denali National Park. Assisted with long-term and remote vegetation structure study in Yukon Charley National Preserve through the Central Alaskan NPS Botany Department.
